2. Processing of personal data

Personal data is processed by our organisation in various ways. Depending on the type of data, this data can be accessed by persons within our organisation or by third parties (see point 3). We use data minimization and try to keep the retention period of data to a minimum.

2.1 General website visits

Visit data is collected anonymously and processed to improve the website. This data includes browser technical data, visit duration, pages visited and click locations.

If contact forms are used, the data entered is stored both on the server and in the customer service mailbox. The retention period of this communication is covered by the retention period of point 2.2.

2.2 General communication

Communication data such as emails & phone calls are stored for 5 years to ensure smooth communication.

Subscribers to the mailing list can unsubscribe at any time using a link at the bottom of each mailing. We work with a double opt-in. Provided data will be deleted after 2 years of inactivity. When unsubscribing, the unsubscribed address is permanently stored unless it is explicitly removed.

2.3 As a customer

As a customer, all data is processed in our CRM (internal) and accounting package (external). Because we use privacy by default principles, we do not store identifiable customer data other than name, contact and company information. This data is stored for 7 years for accounting & tax reasons (minimum legal retention period).

Provided data like FTP, SSH & hosting details of the customer are kept in a secure environment for the duration of the contract + 2 years after last communication in order to provide a good after-sales service.
